GENERALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Generalized knowledge is knowledge obtainable from the most of the above mentioned sources of knowledge such as books, news papers, journals etc.
This type of knowledge is important but has marginal effect in course of exploitation.
For instance, if you are in a class of thousand students graduating the same year coming out with varied results. Some with first class, some with second class upper, some second class lower, some third class, some with pass and other with their school ID card.
Combing these people with other graduates in the same or related professional from more than hundred tertiary institutions in the country and above, you will discover that their will be high intense competition in labor market resulting to the survival of the fittest.
Experience has shown that first class is not a guarantee for a well paid or any how job in this country & above.
If you go oversees like Europe you will discover that first class here doesn’t make a sense there because of our university conditions and management.
It is even apparent that today most of our banks go for cheap labor thereby employing and training low certificate holders like SSCE, OND, NCE to the experience of Degree or HND holders. Therefore gainful job today requires more certificates.
It is becoming a thing of capability and competence.
These calls for total maximization of our privilege as students to edify, ourselves for self employment, self dependent, self reliance, and above all to be a creator of job instead of job seeker in a country like ours.
It is self fulfilling to provide for oneself and others without wholly depending on the government, individuals or corporate bodies.
